FAQ

1.     Do you offer same day deliveries?

Yes. We offer 'same day rush' courier delivery services within San Diego County during weekdays. Same day rush orders must be received by no later than 10:30 a.m. weekdays. We do not offer same day delivery service on weekends.  

Orders received after business hours (after 4:00 p.m. PST) will be counted as having been received on the following business day.

2.     It’s after 10:30 a.m. Can I still have my order delivered same day?

Orders received after 10:30 a.m. and before 12 p.m. are considered on an individual basis, pending courier availability. Please note that there is an additional charge for 'extremely urgent' delivery services. For more information, please call our office: 760-291-1020.

 

3.     Are there any orders that cannot be delivered same day?

Baskets containing alcoholic beverages, fresh fruit and baked goodies require a one business day advanced notice before delivery can be made. Our business day ends at 4:00 p.m.

4.     Can I come in to pick up my order?

Yes, you can make arrangements to have your gift picked up at 'That Place That Ships' in Escondido. Please call our office to arrange your pick-up time.

 

5.     I’d like to include my business card and another item to the basket. Is this possible?

Absolutely. Simply mail your items to our location and we will design them into your gift. Your business cards will be kept on file for future orders.

6.     I’d like to add a bottle of champagne to my basket. How can I do this?

We are partnered with BevMo!, located in Escondido. Our clients are able to select from a huge inventory of spirits and accessories: wine, champagne, whiskey, bourbon, scotch, tequila, and craft beers to name a few.  To learn more about the ordering process, please visit our 'order wine' web page.

7.     Can I pay you for my wine purchase?

No, as we aren't licensed in the state of California to accept payments for alcoholic beverages. That is why we have partnered with BevMo! in Escondido.

8.     I like one of your baskets, but I would like to make a substitution for one of the items listed.

Not a problem. Every single basket on our site is customizable.

9.     I like one of your baskets, but my budget is less. What can I do?

It is possible to adjust some of the basket’s contents to reduce the overall price a bit. For more information, please call 760-291-1020.

10.  I want to change a bow's color scheme on one of your baskets.

Perfectly fine. 

11.  I called your office but received a voicemail message.

Recently we’ve been inundated with robotic phone call disturbances, which has left us no choice but to screen our calls. We are in the office from 8:30-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Someone will call you back within 10 minutes or less. Please accept our apologies in advance for the inconvenience. If you have not heard back from us within 15 minutes, please call again. Occasionally we aren't able to decipher a number left on voicemail.

12.  Do you ship your baskets internationally?

No. We only ship within the continental U.S.

13.  How long will it take for my shipment to arrive?

It depends upon when your shipment leaves our west coast facility. Please allow 5 business days for any east coast deliveries to arrive. For more information, please call our office: 760-291-1020

14.  I only saw one pet basket on your website.

All our pet baskets are custom made to order. Contents will be selected based upon breed, species, size, gender and the pet’s occasion. Please call our office for more information: 760-291-1020

15.  I have a convention coming up for which I need a large number of hotel amenity gifts. What is the process?

 Give us a call to discuss the details of your upcoming event. We will need the date for your event, budget, guest list, and any gift specifics. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before we can proceed with your order. 

16.  I’d like to personalize our baskets.

We offer imprinted ribbon and personalized labels on-site. We are happy to add your business cards and your promotional products to brand your gifts! Please call 760-291-1020 for more information.

17.  I need multiple baskets delivered to one location. How am I charged?

If you are placing your order online, our shopping cart does not accurately calculate the shipping costs for multiple gifts and must be manually calculated. If you have more than 1 basket going to one location, there is a ‘per basket’ rate. Large volume orders going to one location, will be hand delivered free of charge within San Diego County, unless it requires us to rent a cargo truck for delivery. Please call our office to discuss details.

18.  Do you deliver during the weekend?

 If you'd like to have a gift delivered on Saturday, please select the UPS or Fed-Ex shipping option. Orders must be received by no later than 2 p.m. Friday. We do not provide 'same day' delivery service on weekends.  Sunday delivery service is unavailable at this time.

19.  Do you deliver to hospitals and military bases?

We no longer offer delivery services to hospitals due to shortened lengths of stay. Yes, we offer both UPS and Fed-Ex shipping services onto military bases, but not hand delivery services.

20.  If no one is home what happens next?

Our courier provider will leave the gift for the recipient if no one is home. If your basket contains alcohol, someone over 21 must be present to sign for the basket. If our courier is unable to reach the recipient's door for any reason (ie: gated community/aggressive dogs) and is unable to reach the recipient by phone for assistance, our courier provider will issue a redelivery charge if needed.

21.  I don’t want the basket left if no one is home.

If no one is home, our courier will charge a redelivery fee for each delivery attempt. Some households will not answer their doors, even when someone is home. Fed-Ex and UPS leaves all packages regardless of whether or not someone is home to receive it. You must request a recipient signature receipt, which is an additional charge required by both UPS and Fed-Ex. Please call our office to activate a recipient signature receipt.


22.  I don’t see exactly what I want on your website.

Custom gift designs are our specialty. Please call us to discuss details. The sky’s the limit as to what can be created within the basket world!
